Just checked, the bridge is actually called Ponte Luis bridge, it's the double decker one that the trams go over.
If you cross it heading south, there are lots of eateries and drinkeries along the foreshore, a bit cheaper than the northern side...

Bogan is an aussie term. You will recognise them by their bintang singlets, horrible tattoos, fake Oakley sunnies, mullet and the general rudeness they display while getting drunk at 10am. They apparently get bonus points if they sit at the pool...
We stayed in an air bnb a bit out of town, but on the tramline, which only took 10 minutes into town, there are lots of suburbs with cool bars and restaurants all along the way.
Eating near the opera house or right on the water will cost double...
Oh well, it seems I'm not going to the stadium this year, me and my West ham supporting son fly home on the Sunday ☹️
