Is it bigoted to point out that this 10+ goal a season striker you are taking about has only ever got into double figures in 2 seasons in his whole career? Intrigued to know what makes him a “10+ goal a season striker”.
It’s a really good point, all I’m saying is at 30 his body isn’t going to recover from injuries the way Branthwaites will in his early 20’s. It is worrying that all 3 of Branthwaites injuries in 24/25 have all been groin related
Sancho is much more that sort of player - big money move that didnt work out, obvious quality that would improve us, young enough to turn it around and available (relatively) cheaply.
Grealish is too old and plays in a position we don't need...
Undoubtedly players who live their lives in public have to deal with stuff few of us ever have to. We all forget that.
Good luck to him. But it has to be elsewhere because his time here is at a natural end IMO. It wouldn't serve him or us any...
Its not about the injuries for me. I dont think he's good enough. His numbers just dont cut it. In the last two seasons he's started 45 games and has 8 goals from open play. Season just gone Beto started 15 games and has 8 goals from open play.
I genuinely don't think there's any reason for keeping him. We concede every time he plays and look vulnerable when he steps on the pitch. Not so sure extending this deal makes sense on any level
