As expected we won the final. Nsangou finished top scorer and Olayiwola won player of tournament. Amazingly, we didn't win the golden glove though, so must've rotated keepers...
From the U17 team at Triangle Cup in Bermuda;
24 goals over 3 matches, no goals conceded. Finals to be played on Sunday.
Robert - 8 goals
Nsangou - 7 goals
Doughty - 1 goals
Olayiwola - 3 goals
Moses - 1 goal, at least 4 assists
Murdock - 1...
I think this match was played today rather than yesterday, and at the Pinatar Arena. No idea of the score:-
Your U-21s are also there and have just played a friendly against Villareal:-
I have the sneaking suspicion that Barnsley and Pickford will be the tandem for the U21s, at least for the first half of the season, and Luckj/Seve will be the tandem for the U18s. The club really doesn't seem that enthralled with Eze.
I think Akarakiri is in line to come up first for MF, suspect him and Clarke are the most likely to float up and down through the first few months of the season.
Brighton and Hove Albion fan here. Albion's U-18s are currently at a training camp in Spain (Marbella area I think) and someone on the Albion forum has suggested that they are playing a friendly against Everton tomorrow. No idea of the veracity...
Like Metcalfe, think he's a decent little player. If this is him wanting to leave to go and prove himself in the lower leagues & move up then good on him I say. Good luck to you lad.
I always liked Metcalfe, him and Dixon made promising u21 debuts at a young age, like so many youngsters suffered with injury. I thought he may have kicked on to be of interest to Championship clubs but Bradford are ambitious so a good move for him.
I was seeing that it was a loan movement, not permanent.
But with his contract ending end of this season, probably makes sense to move him on for something with a sell on clause as opposed to walking for nothing.
