If you watched his YouTube stuff of what he's done before he's got here, this is pretty much what his body of work has looked like.
Not very polished, moments of good stuff and moments of Beto-esque stuff.
Quick enough, decent in the air and...
Was he? He captained a trophy winning Arsenal team and this was after snapping his cruciate and being about 50% of the player he was before. 2008/9 Arteta pre injury was absolutely brilliant.
Read them both. Nevin's is a decent read, he's an interesting fella.

James Wallace, formerly of this parish, is the sporting director there now I think?
Would expect he's leant on his Everton links a little bit for recommendations etc which is how Lewis Gibson, Thierry Small and Dobbin have all ended up there at...
My theory with him is that he would suit a poor side whose strategy is to sit in and counter attack because TBF to him, he's very good in transition.
My issue with him is that I don't think he looks after the ball very well and in a team like...
Not really - I'm not sure Moyes was 100% sold on him (nor am I) and I think there's a reasonable chance we bought him simply because the price made sense and we will be able to sell at a profit in 12 months
