Not long got home.
What an emotional roller coaster of a day.
Spent it with my dad doing what we first went to do together more than 50yrs ago. Every week he took me from then until I had kids of my own and it was their turn.
We've laughed, sang...
He came here no expectations, played more than he probably expected and only ever acted with class. I wish him only the best of luck, despite that 4 3 win for Villa.
I saw it outside The Winslow. It was greeted with boos and KAGs being sung.
I get the feeling it was a red setting it off on purpose. Bless them, they aren't capable of original thought.
I loved the day. It was very emotional at times (Yep I had some tears) but it was a celebration to take us on to the new gaff as well. Magical memories of Goodison, and delighted the ladies will take over there.
First half we were great, second...
Enjoyed the game. Pre match was out of this world. The walk up, the streets, the noise...absolutely real and unreal.
Football wasnt bad and we got 3 points.
The aftershow wasnt my cup of tea.
From start to finish, what a brilliant day. Beautiful weather. The streets were packed well before the match. Blue smoke everywhere. Seamus leading us out. A 2-0 victory. The fans were amazing. Seeing so many former players was incredible...
I hate people who insist on driving massive cars but have no spatial awareness.
On roads where cars are parked up they drive down the middle and expect people to give way.
Just got home. Didn’t have a ticket, left at about 11:30 - but what an experience on Goodison Road. Absolutely amazing.
Disappointed but not surprised they couldn’t get the coach down. The atmosphere was incredible regardless.
And to make up...
My dad unfortunately passed away two months ago and I'm gutted he didn't get to see our final game at Goodison. Makes me think about the tens of thousands of blues who've graced Goodison over the years but who didn't get to see the old lady off...
