I want to see a lot more of the Alcaraz/Beto combination. We may not be able to fix every position in the summer, but if we get another winger and full backs sorted, probably a box to box midfielder too, I can see a lot of goals with this...
There’s no question who we should be keeping between him and DCL. Beto actually scores. Just waiting for the DCL “but he holds the ball up” acolytes to descend…
I feel like people aren't understanding just how effective he's been. He's top 10 in goals per 90 minutes in the league this season. That's really good considering how poor we are in the attacking third!
You absolutely have not rated Beto, at all. You've said, repeatedly, Dom is the better striker. Beto, in half a season, has scored more than Dom has in any year since Carlo. It's not even debatable, he's massively a better striker.
At the same time he’s in a cack team with a midfield starved of creativity. What if we had midfielders who could play football. I’d keep and let Dom go.
People will still tell you he's not the best striker at the club despite just equaling our best league return from a striker in four years without penalties or starting half of the matches.
He's that good.
No some of you desperately want to...
Not sure he'd get out of bed for anything less at this stage of his career/life - unless he's got absolutely no options and comes grovelling back to the negotiating table...
True, but if we sold Beto and kept Calvert-Lewin we'd certainly need to buy an extra striker on top of the one we're already planning to get due to how injury prone DCL is and the likely wage discrepancy between DCL and Beto probably means that...
I really question the sanity of any Evertonian that would rather see us keep Calvert-Lewin over Beto next season.
Beto has more than proved himself as a useful striker since Moyes arrived as is within touching distance of double figures for...
