We must be in a really healthy financial position if we're able to hand out playing contracts to players who have proven themselves unable to stay fit for several years. I guess that can only be a good thing if you think about it.

I think that will be what most folks would plan to do. Having the legends play first would get people in their seats a bit early and get an atmosphere building well before the main game. Its a bit like having a boxing card with the main fight first.

Think I’ll watch them come out, slowly kick the ball about for 5 mins and then head off to the ale house.

They could have it at Sandhills and give everyone something to watch to kill the 3 or 4 hours waiting to get on a train.

Would it not have been better to have this before the main game? It would get fans into the ground early as they would have something to watch. Can imagine having watched a pre season 90 minutes that a good few would be heading home at full time.

Someone`s been saying that for the last 30 years and still not got it right.

They have adjusted his age in accordance with the amount of time he`s spent out injured, so ten years seems about right.

And who will tip over to Dublin every time he gets the call from the FAI, and come back injured.

Paying players who can`t get fit to play is not helping us out either.

I love the fella but the plug should have been pulled years ago. Last thing he did for us was that goal against Leeds. Baines knew when it was game over and walked away.

No one his age is signing one year deals. He`ll be looking for at least a 3 year deal with a get out of jail relegation clause if the team were to go down.

Now after handing a new deal to our captain who can`t get fit enough to actually get some game time, just waiting for the next new deal announcement for the CF who can`t score and keeps getting injured.

He won the lottery signing for a team that are far too sentimental. Getting paid handsomely to kiss the badge and shout “come on!” in the changies, despite being crap for the last 5 years.

Beto only really started games after DCL pulled up in the Brighton game, and the first chance Moyes got he put Broja into the team. I`d like to see how Beto would do over a full season starting up front. He can find the net, works really well...

They are probably sorry they didn`t knock down another street or two of peoples houses so they could have gained they extra couple of meters they needed to comply with UEFA.
