Seen him fight a few times and a mate , acquaintance , of mine even fought him . Also ran into him a couple of times away from boxing just bouncing about , always incredibly approachable .

One of the lads, fairly insightful (for a boxer), loved his discipline and it hurt him awful losing competing. 46 is no age, and he'd worked so hard recently getting back into the sport and trying to be a good influence.

Bit shocked, followed his career from an early stage and was in Manchester when he beat Kostya Tzu for the belt. Best atmosphere I've ever experienced anywhere and I've still got my t-shirt
The only boxer I set the alarm for 3am to watch fight on a sunday morning, a true entertainer. I'm not arsed about celebrity deaths but this is a sad one.
RIP Ricky,I saw him box once at the MEN arena,they were handing flyers out at the Etihad before the Cahill goal/sent off game,he was good value at the event,no age and a sad loss😞🙏
Very sad news this, came across as increasingly troubled and couldn't seem to get himself right again.
His fights were always events, transended the sport without acting like a bellend to do so with fake nonsense, a real legend of the sport and...
I agree, except for the 60 minute thing. I think Tim is a replacement for injuries and not much more. (That's no disrespect, and I believe him to be a good player, because a Premier League injury replacement is bloody near the top of the heap...
