They had the whole summer to go for him but waited until the last day so it's their own fault. Probably thought because they're Liverpool, Palace would bend over for them. Got to hand it to Palace for holding firm.

I honestly haven't seen enough of him to comment but, based on his stats, he seems to be able to play anywhere in the centre of the park and can fill in in a couple of other positions too. So, on that basis it seems a very sensible signing.

I see Tory FC have broken the British transfer record again today, that’s twice in a month 😂 They’ve now had the record fee for a goalkeeper, record fee for a defender, now midfielder and striker too.
