Match Thread Everton 2-0 Liverpool - Chat, Match Report and MotM Poll

If we've learned anything in recent Everton it's that with a great victory (and arguably fortune) like Sunday - comes at a consequence. We are not able to enjoy Everton for too long, the Universe wont allow it. Pain and misery must be inflicted on Evertonians for their joyfulness on Sunday. And...

777 Partners / Whatever the hell you like

I would say there is definitely chance of an 11th hour buy-out, similar to Liverpool's when FSG bailed them out. Another buyer waiting in the wings, waiting for the price to plummet. The risk is there though but you'd have thought Moshiri would take any buy-out rather than no sale at all if we...

Forest fan - 20th April, we need to do something

I doubt we'd have had much sympathy for Forest if roles had been reversed. Football is tribal and we all enjoy seeing other clubs suffer until we can relate. I don't think a joint protest would make much news though. I think what you need is supporter clubs of all 14 teams rallying and...

Is there a reason Pickford is getting booed when he touches the ball?

    Today's Football - 2023/2024 Season

If there’s 1 team I don’t mind Liverpool doing that too it’s Newcastle. Fair play to them there like, great win

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

Disgraceful that Dyche is the only person able to field questions for this club given the turmoil going on behind him. Also disgraceful that fans would use him being brash in a press conference as a stick to beat him up with. We are 2 games in to a new season in which we've pretty much stayed...

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

His 1st MO is keep us in the league by any way necessary, it's difficult to implement progressive football on a side in the middle of a dog fight whose squad isn't his or been trained to his spec. You have to give him time, I do have faith in him to look to turn us into a stable club for next...

    2022/23 Sean Dyche

Agreed, he's probably the most 'solid' manager we've had since Moyes. We have to give him a transfer window and full summer training regardless of what league we are in

I like that take mate. It makes good sense. We're all down there for a reason and on paper we've got the easier game by far.

    Relegation 2022/23

Oh yeh I agree there, they certainly wont be flying into challenges the way Leicester may be. So there is that to take in to account. Whatever you think of Moyes he is a stubborn & proud fella, the idea of 'helping' Leicester or even Everton stay up is way off his radar. He'll want a performance...

    Relegation 2022/23

There's a lot to be said for having 'too much time' in between games, Moyes will want to keep his players injury free but also match fit. I would be shocked if he didn't field at least a semi strong side if not the best 11 he thinks available.

That was a horrendous watch. What a pathetic state this football club has become. I have no emotion other than pure anger towards those who have failed us for so so many years. Whatever happens next week there should be a witch hunt for those at the top.

Not sure about anyone else but I'm finding the wait in between games is as bad as the games themselves. I find I'm wishing days away to get to the next game just to find out how this will all end!

    Relegation 2022/23

Weird that, I don't mind Wolves - or should I say I'm indifferent to them. Don't think we've had any resemblance of rivalry with them? I thought they'd be wanting Leicester buried sooner than us. I guess it is more down to the size and history of Everton for novelty factor to see us go down...
