Haven't utd got a stack of out of favour players that they can ship for big money? If not then it beggars belief how the books balance with some of the signings they are tipped to make🤔
The math is more how much his replacement will cost vs what he will cost plus the risk of him getting injured again (pretty high). He's out of contract at the moment, there's no "salvage" value. You wouldn't/shouldn't be throwing money at him...
I suppose the club is weighing up his market value if they were to give him a new contract. What is financially better?....let him go on a free now or give him his 80k a week and hope he knocks in a few and becomes worth 20m?
