Everyone keeps saying this but there is zero out there that that is the intention. Surely it will be cheaper to just mothball the stands that aren’t used rather than demolish and reconfigure it.

Glad of this. Keeps Everton in the area and fans can still visit, go to a game etc. much better than a carpark or block of flats ending up over the old Goodison. Least they have come out with the news before Sunday too

I agree. I think we have a great opportunity to have our cake and eat it as regards Goodison Park. It can easily become a world class working heritage football stadium and museum. Where is more appropriate than the site of the world's first...

Who wouldn’t want football to continue to be played on that famous pitch? For kids that haven’t yet been born to watch their heroes play at the legendary Goodison Park? A minority of our fanbase, it would seem.
