    Naismith? Thoughts?

Baines played some **** games for us early on and people said he wasn't worth it. Jagielka played some **** games for us early on and people said he wasn't worth it. Fellaini played some **** games for us early on and people said he wasn't worth it. Heitinga played some **** games for us early...

Two negatives that have strangely become a positive?

I mean don't get me wrong it's obviously not all down to that - but for the positions we had to cover today we actually had the same options last season. I just feel that last season Coleman would not have been even considered for starting today. We'll never know if Cahill would have got the nod...

Two negatives that have strangely become a positive?

.....Fellaini basically saying he'll go this summer (or earlier) if we don't look like getting champions league & Mancini's little dig when Rodwell transferred over - "Now he is at a team that plays to win every game." I reckon these two things have had a stinging effect on Moyes...

    Who should start at RB?

as I just posted in another thread - Mirallas and Coleman (attacking): A joy unconfined Mirallas and Coleman (defending): A terror to behold

    Kevin Mirallas

Though to be fair there's not really a better wing partnership in the entire league than Baines and Pienaar - so our right side is always going to look a little lacking compared to it! Hmmm....Mirallas and Coleman (attacking): A joy unconfined Mirallas and Coleman...

    Why you hate NUFC?

Sadly I think part of the animosity is down to the fact that we (see also spurs for this) used to be one of the big boys but increasingly history is all we can cling to for bragging rights in this who's-got-the-biggest-wedge of cash league. As Moyes said today you're only as good as your last...

    Pardew....

.....bit of a chippy [Poor language removed] isn't he? Alan Pardew: "It's obvious from the start of the season that Everton have picked up where they left off last year. "They beat us comfortably at the back end of last year. It's a tough game for us, and I think it's going to be for everybody at...

    Fellaini wants to leave Everton?

Thing is the quotes contradict themselves in any case.... "I begin my fifth season at Everton. This will be one of my last. I've seen everything. In January or at the end of the season I would look for another club or league." "one of my last" implies there could be more than one. "would...

    Heitinga

Thing is if Baines were a left mid there's a good chance he'd lose his effectiveness - fullbacks are nearly always attacking running forwards into the space created by the midfield tucking in (which pienaar does so well). Not saying he couldn't learn to do it, but put him on left mid then he'd...

    Hello - Deadline Day introduction!

I'm from Southampton. Dad's from Liverpool and said he'd supported Everton as a boy when we watched 85 cup final so I adopted them from then on.

Oh so fickle and glum after defeat

Can't complain too much about the start really - considering it's normallly at least another month before we have those kind of points. Unsually for us I think the team's fitness isn't there yet. We've trailed off in the second half of every game we've played this season.
