So the time has finally come . Our first league game at the new stadium. Call it what ye like but its going to a special occasion. Brighton are the visitors a side who on their day can be very good indeed. Last nights defeat sees this fine forum...

Agreed. I definitely think they don't know how to run a football that was clear from Roma. I just think they're a more sophisticated version of Moshiri. No competent owners would've appointed Moyes and let him dictate how the club would be run on...

For me he’s still one of the better players in the squad. If we’re going to hit the next level though, he’ll likely be a bit part squad player stepping in when we’ve got injuries. If it wasn’t for his lack of pace he’d be a regular starter.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping to be the case, and just ignore all other facts. A bit like my acca track record

Kinda - it's well written at least. LOL the Chelsea point, too. 👍 Why couldn't we go in for Nkunku instead of Grealish? 😒

Playing the long term game is great when you have been doing it for 5 years and managed to cling onto PL status while you get the process up and running. With restrictions now on what you can spend, player prices and bonkers wages, it’s nigh on...

I sort of agree with this - and 100% right about sentiment, too. But McNeil , Garner and Beto are funnily anough precisely the characters I'd keep as squad, subs and injury cover. Patterson, yeah. Myko (sadly) for me, Keane, Seamus will retire...

250k a week woulda fixed a lot of holes down our right side. That's all I'm saying. He didn't create a shot or assist vs a newly promoted avg leeds, just a foul from memory.

Sell another player who gets goals and assists. The everton way.

That's true, but players do need meaningful game time (not just friendlies) to improve and get match fit. McNeil should play, he's been a successful example of my point, and an investment we're now wasting. Patterson needs a run, and is...

    a) The players above neither playing much (or at all), nor belonging to the club b) The remainder losing to a newly promoted, very average prem side, using players out of position, prioritising back-passes to a shaky back four instead of passing...
