Despite the offsides he did well today. Surprised he stayed on though cause he looked absolutely exhausted towards the end. Could barely hold or run for the ball.
Was honestly on the list of players I wouldn't have minded keeping on if he could've been moved to emergency backup rather than a regular starter like he has been too often. Credit to him because I couldn't stand him start of the season but he got better.
I honestly hated seeing him anywhere near the team earlier in the season because he was a massive liability it felt like. Taking risks that he had no chance of recovering from while hardly offering anything going forward to make up for it. Over the course of the season though I think he's maybe...
Never really questioned his physical ability as a defender. He has all the attributes for that. Its often been the mental side where he just always seems to wilt under pressure when the going gets tough.
Very confusing that he keeps persisting with Doucoure at the expense of other players. Especially in the situation we have where we can afford to be a bit more experimental and give players a go. What else does he need to see from Doucoure at this point?
He always seems keen to take a man on to progress the ball but as a midfielder, especially in the way we generally set up, he really needs to pick his moments better cause it leaves us in trouble in the wrong area.
I really would rather see the back of players like Keane and Doucoure. Even without going into their current ability I feel like they just have a lot of negativity attached to them. You know most of us are groaning when we see either on the team sheet. Doucoure has had his moments even recently...
Forward players were woeful today, no idea why Alcaraz being pushed left to accommodate Doucoure who I cannot even remember doing a single good thing that game. Full backs crossing was awful as well. I can forgive O'Brien because he's not a natural full back but I swear teams are happy to see...
Definitely should've started if we were so content to let them have the ball. If we're playing on the break I'd trust Alcaraz to take it forward the few times we have it than Doucoure who apart from the early chance didn't really support Beto a whole lot.
He definitely has something about him. He was never scoring with those shots today but he knows how to find space for them and he will score a banger soon.
Kind of like that its a unique strength of being so tall for an RB that we can have someone at that backpost to reliably win headers and score like today.
Definitely should do better for the first two chances but he didn't let him it get him down and kept going hard again and helped us get back up the pitch when we were under pressure. Especially since he's been playing like this for 90 mins of every game for a while now.
Mad that there was so much rumor about us looking to get rid when all it took was just playing to his obvious strengths a bit and he scores a few goals.
