    Evertonians In USA

I've been off the grid for a bit, as it pertains to GOT. But I'm checking in from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I know of at least one other Everton supporter here in town.

    Everton on TV in USA

No surprise that there doesn't seem to be any TV for the Carling Cup game today. But I haven't found a listing for the Manchester United game Saturday. That does surprise me.

    Picture yourself...

I think it would be interesting to pose this question to American fans who jumped on the Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea bandwagons before watching very many games. I have a hunch a fair amount of them would pick Everton. My friends who like big four clubs all seem to have a soft spot for...

    Picture yourself...

I was talking to a friend of mine who also watches the EPL. He has no allegiance to a team but said that after watching for several years, if he had to pick, it would be Wolves. He likes their scrappiness, their loyalty to a manager and the atmosphere at their stadium. I thought his reasoning...

ManU v Chelski on FOX on Sunday

I think it's a good step. Hopefully, Fox puts together a better pregame show than that dumbed-down cheesey one from the Champions League final. In other words, please no Michael Strahan.

    hibbert and jags must go,

I find the Hibbert bashing odd. He is what he is. He's not a great player. But he's a fine player to have in the squad. He bleeds blue, never complains about his role and -- I'm guessing -- probably isn't making a ton of money. And he's had some fine performances over the course of his career...

    EFC Ultimate Nemesis

Scharner and Kuyt were the first that came to mind for me.

    Dear David....

But if you think back to some of Everton's best performances last season, it came with one up front and Osman behind. Put two up front and Osman drops deeper and isn't able to link up around the penalty box as much. Any system can look good if the team plays well. Germany was one of the most...

    Dear David....

I guess I'm in the minority -- or at least the silent majority -- here. I was fine with the team selection and I thought Cahill played well. It's not like Moyes pulled a Big Sam and threw a defender at striker. Cahill's played there before. I think Vellios has a lot of potential and thought he...

    Positives from today

I agree with all of this. Spot on. Glad to see some positive vibes around these parts. Too much doom and gloom as of late. I really like the 4-2-3-1 with Osman pulling the strings. I thought he and Cahill linked quite well. And like others have pointed out, it really helps having pace on the wings.

    Bily

I can see the argument for playing him behind the striker. He's got a good shot and a knack for getting into goal-scoring positions. But I can't see Bily at center mid. He gives away the ball too much to be played there. Not sure he has the engine for it either. Like everyone else, I hope he...

    Royston Drenthe

I would like this one to happen. I think he could help. That being said, I won't hold my breath.
