I can only go by the commentary on the Everton site, but it seems that Tarks was the outstanding MoM in a very poor performance. I think we're in for a hammering at Brighton on that evidence.

All I can say is that there a lot of very fine performances against probably the best side in Europe given our limitations. Once they scored the first goal there was no chance of us getting back but there was no lack of willingness to try. I was torn between Branthwaite and Tarkowski for MoM but...

To get a penalty Beto would have to have his shirt ripped off and tied around his ankles, and even then VAR would take 5 minutes to make a decision.
