    …my daughter-in-law has a proper fear of them but I don’t mind them. I’m of a mind that they kill bugs like houseflies etc, would never kill a spider, tend to catch them and put back outside.

    Same. The only insects I have a problem with is woodlice - they burrow into nearly ripened tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse and ruin them, Ugh!
