So, he runs the contract down after two years. Nobody has explained the structure clearly. This Charly is a winner as we have all seen and with a 2+1 deal he will be off to Athletico on a freebe to join his Argie mates.
I am sure that Charly will do well and will attract suitors after Year 1, so then what happens? He runs the second year down and gets a big contract elsewhere, maybe. A 2 year contract beats me!
When Charly plays he adds a touch of class that the forward line lacks. He is a hard worker, runs well with the ball and has a lot of potential.
A must- buy for the numbers being quoted.
Dixon is a player that Moyes needs to give a chance. He reminds me of Robinson who was shipped out to Wigan.
We need pace, lots of pace, and this lad has that in spades.
I reckon the Moyes lack of enthusiasm for Charly is a negotiating tactic.
Also, I think EFC should get close to 20 million for Beto now which should immediately go towards getting Delap.
I can't believe how highly rated Young is by some posters here. He is literally years off his best and now as long as he doesn't repeat his antics at Anfield and Wolves at home last season he gets praised.
As for the role model or servant stuff..
I was hoping that he would grab his chance but he was underwhelming. I agree with the idea that O Brien continues at right back next season because lots of money has to be spent on the forward line.
He has also failed to become a goal threat. He had a decent shot on him but it's disappeared. That said, EFC have been banned from taking long shots for years.
