    MATCH OFFICALS SOUTHAMPTON VS EVERTON

Osman went down to reduce the severity of the tackle. He would definitely have been collected by the defender if he hadn't, and possibly had a nice new injury.

    Cahill Australian duty on Malaysia

Ahhh, possibly because Tim Cahill IS the Australian team, whereas Kewell and Emerton are both past it (well possibly not Emerton but he will be by 2014).

To this day i've never watched one of those highlight montages without having to listen to the sappiest, most ill-fitting, poncey music.

    Bily

I agree with that. I think that with someone with the confidence to shoot (Bily) playing behind him, Cahill can be a fantastic hold-up striker, and can also bring those ridiculous long balls down to Bily's left cannon.

Did Tim Cahill nearly sign for Stoke?

I just saw Timmy play for Australia in Brisbane and he was being very cautious not to injure himself. Would have been nice to do better than only just salvaging a 2-1 win over THAILAND though.

    Royston Drenthe

Hyper-hypothetical situation I was talking about there... I enjoy the unexpected, just wish it paid off more often (at all). Incredibly excited about Drenthe.

    Beckford

I still think about that goal against Chelsea, but not too bothered about him going. Anything we can do to contribute to the financial future of the club is a great thing.

    Royston Drenthe

Even if (IFF) he plays so well that he helps us earn a place in the champions league?
