Pathetic by Everton to let two seasoned internationals in Yobo & Yakubu leave on loan. The Yak's only got a year on his deal and we'd be lucky to get £3m for him now. And Yobo's wage demands of 50K - what he gets at EFC - is putting everyone off his signature despite a rather small £4.5m...

I do think our squad is aging beyond belief. Six of our first 11 are over 30 (or 29). A lot of the younger players are stale... Heitinga, Billy & I'd love us to get Yakubu (28) and Yobo (30) off the books as soon as the possible. We need to bring the age of the team right now.

Rodwell is being given the number 4 shirt so I've been told - they've pulled the 26 Rodwell kit to stop fans buying it: it's to ultimately stop complaints from people who would have bought his shirt with his old number on to later find he's changed his number.
