He’s good at all those things, yeah.

New Everton Owners: The Friedkin Group

If it’s of interest to anyone, I asked Chat GPT and it said- “If Everton wanted the women’s team to purchase Goodison, they’d likely have to negotiate an internal or external sale in that £40–60 million ballpark, factoring in future investment for refurb and reconfiguration.”

    Confirmed Signing Thierno Barry

Exactly - our third striker should be the pacey incoming right winger 🙏 and our fourth choice should be Ndiaye. Chermiti and Sherif can go out on loan.

Shea Charles would be absolutely perfect for us, playing as a 6.

I think we’re probably never going to quite agree on this one, but for me the biggest thing that’s changed in 40 years has been the relative overall strength of our top two divisions compared to other countries - interestingly, Opta recently declared the Championship the sixth strongest league...

Gray was what? 27? 28? Reidy 26? It’s not the league or the age - it’s the quality and the desire. I think we need to stop thinking weak premiership players make better signings that strong championship ones.

I hope so - like Jags, Lescott and Baines. Such a weird snobbery about signings sometimes, Im glad Moyesy hasn’t got it - and that Kendall didn’t have it either. I mean, even Reidy and Andy Gray had played in the division below the season before we signed them.

Think McAtee’s on a free next summer. They’re clearly desperate to sell him (amongst many others), there could be a good deal to be done there.

Do you know what, I thought that too - then I saw them a few times this season and he was fantastic every time. Granted it was the Championship, but there’s a reason Gnonto was on the bench - Solomon on the left and James on the right were just in such great form. James has been in and out of...

They made a massive profit on Lavia and will make a massive one on Charles soon enough, both are top quality. I think Southampton signed some great young players, the mistake was not balancing that potential out with some hard bitten experience elsewhere. Bazunu, as with James Trafford at...

Of his last 39 starts, 35 have been on the left!

For me, the main problem is that Hamer often plays off the left and that’s about the only position we have strong first and second choices for. In terms of ability tho, I think he can pick the kind of passes that no-one else in our squad can, not one. He’s a very gifted player.

This drives me mad. At any given time, we seem to have three or four left wingers and whoever isn’t good enough to get their place in the left is then in line to play on the right instead. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a player whose favourite and best position was actually right wing?
