Just to say, as a lifelong Southampton fan, what an absolute privilege it was to be at the game yesterday. The noise from the singing before the game was as good as anything I’ve ever heard on my travels to football grounds all over the country...
Meh. Personally thought MOTD's coverage was disgusting. Not so much the match, but at the end, where they talked about the places we remember and then proceeded to show a love-in with the rs and coverage of anfield that took up most of the montage.
Hard to even put into words yesterday - surreal, magical, heartwrenching, joyous. I might have a go later in the week.

Well that was some occasion yesterday, some great scenes outside the ground pre match and with nobody acting up from what I saw.
Shame we couldn't offer anything to the actual match and it felt very testimonial like from the second goal onwards...
A number of those players were pulling on the Blue shirt before I was born. But would love to think many would be invited back to the first game at Bramley Moore. Tony Kay, Derek Temple and Johnny Morrissey might not get many more times to visit...
The only men missing from my time supporting the blues were I’d have loved to have seen Fellaini, Kanchelskis, Lukaku and Richarlison (obviously good reasons a couple couldn’t come)
Oh and James at Goodison would’ve been mad as nobody saw him...
