For a youngster breaking into any first team is one of the hardest positions to nail down. You really have to learn your craft and any mistakes are cruelly exposed.

Not really a position where you can just come in and make your mark straight away either. Takes time to build an understanding with defensive partners etc. A young striker gets a chance and gets on the end of a few good balls and he is in the...

Not really when its our strongest position. Get what you mean though. Makes more sense to flip it on its head though and get somebody who stands a chance of becoming a starter at least.

I didn't say they don't understand it. These people with power are seemingly allowed to do whatever they want though.

Thing is loads of people care about the "fight". Nobody seems to care about the content. Probably because every is desensitized to it it has been a massive wall of gibberish text from both of them for years now.

Standards in general in anything are pretty poor these days. I'm sure we all have instances of workies not turning up or answering their phones etc. Driving standards are just another indicator of some humans being pretty crap these days. I...

He was no worse than a bunch of other players we have had though, some of which were at the club at the same time. I feel the worship of him is rather tongue in cheek but I feel the slating he got by some was a bit OTT also. I don't think it...

The Niasse thing for me was more that people were acting like he was a competition winner. (like you said). He was a limited player but he did have some traits that could make him useful. Honestly he looked no worse than Beto when he first came...

Papa Shango replied to the thread 2024/25 Charly Alcaraz.
I don't think that's quite true. He played one game in centre mid for us in a pinch as we had a slight injury crisis. He was pretty much always a centre back for Sheffield United. His brother was a centre mid I think.

I never liked the Nyarko thing, he played about 20 games in a pretty mad team (Smith had him and Gravesen playing as sweeper at points) for us before the big kick off with him. These days he probably would have been given a little more leeway to...

His age could very well have something to do with it. People are still growing between the age he has been a professional footballer. Slight differences in a players body can change how they perform. It's the main risk with young players.
