Bit weird that it’s not closer to 100%, guys come in and settled straight away and looks to have the grit that’s needed, can score and assist. Imagine not wanting him to sign.

The chance he fluffed sums up why he needs to go. Can’t be relied on to be available. Can’t be relied on to finish great chances when he plays. Has played his part during his time here but it’s best if he moves on. -

If we don't give Gana Gueye another year, we're crazy. He's had his best season for us, and he's nearly 50. What an incredible player.

The club needs to move on from players like this. What’s the point in retaining players we already know what they offer, which clearly isn’t enough for us to push on and drastically improve .

Great end to the season, weird how comfortable it's ended after how we began. Hopefully we make significant progress strengthening the squad this summer. Can't wait to watch my first game at the new stadium either.

….my word, what a win that is. Terrific performances all around, CBs, FBs, Beto a handful, Alcaraz crowning a fine display with a clinical header but Gueye was my MoM.
