He’s a bit one dimensional. A perfectly weighted played through ball is what he’s looking for. But our system of booting it up the field from Pickford and hoping for a favourable bounce doesn’t serve him well either.
To many off days, I think the problem is he is good at doing one thing and he will get some goals going that thing. But he has no variation to his game at all.
Same here today mate, the Uni trips are very worthwhile though.
My lad was updating from home, sounded very frustrating 1st half, but massively better and he reckons should have been at least a draw.
From what I saw, we were the better team for 60 mins and that’s with a referee determined to kill any momentum we built.
I did miss the first 30 though with Child 1 at a uni open day
Slack, slow start, thought at the game it was a nailed on foul on n'diaye in the build up to their first goal, poor defending for their second just after our one great chance in the first half, other than a Salah effort they didn't truly threaten us...
Leeds played like that against us first game, didn't stop, closed down and sprinted all game, but it cost them injuries and they were goosed the next game and lost.
But they beat us, wouldn't mind us trying that for once against someone like them.
I thought we did go toe to toe. We didn’t foolishly go all-out attack and let them pump us, but we were competitive and pushed them to the final whistle.
