Mate, Lampard just didn’t fancy him as a player when he first arrived. In the following season he had him in the team. I’m not sure why anyone would bother disputing it. Anyway, we need him, so hopefully he steps up when he has to this year.

Correct. In Lampard’s first season (or half season given he took over end of January) he had Patterson as an unused substitute 7 times. Only giving him one appearance v Boreham Wood and he hauled him off at half time.
