Absolutely brilliant stuff. Can't say I follow much Womens football but an exceptional achievement all round. And, hell, the country/world is a miserable enough place at the moment, the more stuff like this the better and they deserve all the adulation they get.

Last 4/5 years have been a disgrace in terms of our starts. I appreciate there are very major changes ongoing with how the club is ran but it doesn't help the infuriating feeling of being under-prepared, yet again. Longer term I think the future is brighter but it's not going to be an instant...

Yep. The early signs so far are promising in terms of finally establishing a level of competence in how we are ran. Even just that is a big improvement on the utter circus of the last decade and more.

Not just fair, it is 100% accurate as much as many pretend otherwise. Beyond a broadly accepted understanding that we have more flexibility/money to spend than previous seasons, none of us have an idea on the actual details.

Yeah agree with this. It's very easy to just say "why didn't we go for player X when he was cheaper" after the fact. If he's any good, the price quoted is probably about right in this increasingly stupid transfer market. Providing he doesn't totally flop he should have decent resale value...
