117 pages and 2 1/2 months after the thread was opened with rumours of interest being reported, we're apparently in talks. No leaks under these yanks though eh lads.

Signing an actual right back felt like a priority years ago

Why are the words “full-back cover” being used? We don’t need cover, we need an actual full-back. Retire ffs Coleman this club can’t move on till you do.

Reading about Justin, I can’t recall whether he is good, bad or indifferent, I think we are getting to the stage of beggars can’t be choosers in our transfer dealings— I hope this isn’t the case but surely there are better full backs out there...

Signings like this are fine alongside a couple of significantly better players who move the level of the squad forward properly. If those players come in, this type of thing is OK, but we need to be very careful that our unprecedented rebuild...

I can't imagine an easier deal to negotiate than one which gives a brand exclusive access to a captive market to be honest, you don't exactly need to be a marketing genius to generate interest in that.

I honestly don't think that matters anymore, it's pretty much the norm these days for there to be no discernible break between seasons. As Mike said, 'pre-season' used to be a big fitness drive because players had stopped playing in May and then...

Bloody hell and we though we had it bad with him being available 1 in 5 or whatever it was. Nice guy, good defender on his day but good lord what an abhorrent waste of money he was.

Next time you go and buy a house, if you plan on price negotation - maybe don't tell the seller you're desperate and will be homeless. It's not a big thing, but it's not helpful. The recruitment team, which includes Moyes, needs to be unified...

There is a difference between realising we probably need to sign players and having heard our manager publicly say that we're desperate though isn't there? Like if somebody comes to view your house you know they're looking to buy one, otherwise...

Don’t worry, our first choice targets will soon become available now we are late in the window 🙄

Our CEO, the same day was well assured that all was in order, we had a strategy and all would be fine. Is it helpful in negotiations if the buying club has a manager saying they're desperate and need bodies in ASAP? No. It's a simple as that.

That is a counter from Saints intended to kill the deal and it has. Stone dead. What Dibling makes of it remains to be seen but I never blame another club for sticking to their guns. We do it after all.
