Pretty much this.
1st half we barely got out of our own half. Hardly anything went near him to stick either.
2nd half his hold up play was poor but so was everything else around him. Every set piece (bar one), no crosses into the box, no...
He wasn't great, different wavelengths sure. It's him getting it in the neck and not the midfielders who I thought were atrocious yesterday. You only have to take a brief look to see who's page is having the most discussion.
Was Beto worse than...
Some people have already made their minds up about him, it's proper weird behaviour. He's a squad player, brought in for cheap, who has the ability to change a game. He's not a winger.
Exciting prospect, able to get at the moment, could take a while to settle and get a tune out of him in the prem.
Same as Chermitti.
I mean, if anyone saw him in preseason you can tell he's not ready.
That’s a big if he turns out to be a worldie though it could just as easily go the other way.
£50m for a prospect still means we have to develop him into a £100m player, so unless he is Messi/Maradona love child then no
Leeds overloaded the midfield meaning Beto didn't get any service. As crap as Beto is, Moyes let that go on all night without attempting to change personel or tactics till it was too late.
Its a working partnership.
We have it at CB (Tark and JB) and CM (Gana and Garner).
Don't have it anywhere else on the pitch, even worse when one isn't there.
Gana and Tim don't play well together I don't think.
Gana likes to go and chase the ball and Tim doesn't have the positional sense to cover accordingly or manage the danger when he's left alone.
Garner I think is quite good foil for Gana, bit...
I agree...ok the odd time you can ask him to play RB but asking the lad to play full back on his weaker foot.
I thought under the circumstances he did very well.
