A lot of the older 60s teachers had been through the war, with mixed experiences. Many were "bachelors" and for whatever reason were embittered men - screwed up inside - and they took it out on us.

I’m my personal experience I had to have 3 consecutive elevated PSA tests, a DRE, an MRI and a family history survey before they did a biopsy. Obvs the DRE is intrusive but they weren’t getting ahead of themselves with scalpels.
