VAR can never fully work due to the number of subjective decisions. Ultimately you end up with a game refereed by committee which simply sucks the life out of it.

Totally agree, ref was too weak to tell VAR to k'off. So few refs seem to be brave enough.

I don’t really understand the PGMOL’s statement at all. It wasn’t the VAR that ultimately “disallowed” the goal, it was the on-field ref. The VAR told the ref to review the incident, which he did. VAR was wrong for even asking him to yes, but...
