I think the Cornet links are probably genuine but may just be one of a few options, bit like Che Adams and Beto deals. Both advanced but got our first choice.

Players with a year to go on their contracts are generally not going cheap at the moment. Need to make sure we continue that trend rather than accept a low fee because we're desperate for cash.

Really can't predict the last couple of weeks in this transfer window. Ideally we'd get Gnonto and a decent striker over the line, but we could quite easily end up with neither. Very quiet regarding strikers. Maybe that's a good thing though.

Talk of Brighton going for Kudus. A player alongside Joao Pedro that we apparently went for last summer. Annoying as the problem now doesn't seem to be identifying the right players, just the means to be able to do it after years of mismanagement.
