Exactly this. We're paying a premium for potential - it's already a gamble, on the hope it pays off an we can make a profit.

Potential re-sale value is why you want to sign a player like Dibling. By adding a huge sell on clause then the deal doesn't make sense.

Sell on percentages shouldn’t really apply when you’re already paying a massive premium for a player imho. At close to £50mil we’re more than just paying for his potential. They’re getting well compensated as is.
