It's denied him a gold medal. I'm convinced of that. He's only got himself to blame. If he'd have got his head down and neck out and kept pumping his legs for the line he'd have won. His looking up at the screen tied him up.

I agree. The stadium screen seems to have become part of the athletes' armoury. They should turn it off before the race. Or blindfold the runners.
