    For those of you of a certain age I can remember being ready to hate Fred Pickering after Alex Young, the Golden Vision, was dropped to make way for him. Pickering then scored a hat trick on his debut. The King was dead, God save the King.

    An old boy

    Hi Guys I've been a blue since the days of Alex Young, Roy Vernon, Jimmy Gabriel, Tony Kay and others of that era. Dad was a red and took me to Anfield, following week Uncle Stan took me to Goodison. No contest, been a blue ever since.
