It shows where we were financially as a club. He was our top striker and we had no depth. The top clubs have multiple forwards capable of popping off 10+ goals a season. We had to put all our hopes in Dom. And when he got hurt, the entire ship sank.

This is it, even though the likes of Moise Kean, Lookman and Vlasic didn't work out for us, we still at least made our money back on them. But for a horrific injury, which can happen to anyone, there is very little downside to a signing like this.

If we waited another 12 months and he developed even a little bit we d have no chance. Likes of Chelsea would just hoover him up. We will unfortunately need to take a few gambles like this and bring in alongside them some more experienced players...
