…I think people underestimate the counsel he provides to managers, they clearly appreciate his input. Aside from that, I’ve heard only praise from his teammates. A very shrewd piece of business keeping him involved.

If it wasn't for ego and pride I think DCL would see which way the wind is now blowing at this club and be doing a U-turn on staying. But in reality the situation is probably too far gone for that. A late surprise wouldn't entirely shock me though.
