    More spent than Bayern?

Yes, they do. One of the reasons they are not particularly liked in German football, but hey - that's business, right?

    More spent than Bayern?

Bayern got Lewandowski for free - that was a rather good move by them. :)

Players that never fulfilled their potential

Robert Warzycha - the first player from mainland Europe to score in the Premier League... ... he certainly had more skill and talent than his stats at Everton (72 games/6 goals) would suggest.

    Everton v Crystal Palace Sat 10/2, 15.00

Not exactly tongue in cheek, no... I understand your comment, but you see, mate... hmm. Some time ago I came to the conclusion that in my life I do appreciate realism, cold objectivity and seeing things as they really are, but NOT when it comes to my football club. If I were to adapt such...

    Everton v Crystal Palace Sat 10/2, 15.00

Crystal Palace couldn't even beat Newcastle at home, they managed only two wins in their last nine competitive games, their defence is full of holes and they are missing several key players. We, on the other hand, despite the rather unfortunate defeat last week, are on the rise again with class...

Do I detect, perhaps, a hint of defeatism here, mate? Keep the faith! :celebrate:

Well, in such case it must be some sort of managing trick by Allardyce - I believe in his genius and stick to my 3-0 prediction. :)

    Match Thread Arsenal 5-1 Everton

Arsenal are in a bit of a crisis (they lost to Bournemouth and Swansea recently); we, on the other hand, would seem to be on the rise again. Walcott and Coleman are on fire, Rooney and Sigurdsson make a perfect duo in the midfield, and in general future looks bright. I predict a comfortable 3-0...

    2017/18 Cenk Tosun

I am definitely not a Niasse hater, but I'm quite sure that if Tosun had played yesterday then our victory would have been more convincing. However, I am too happy about the result to complain too much about squad selection. :)

What did I tell you? :) One more after the break and 3-0 it will end.

Who is our greatest striker of the post-war era?

Gary Lineker for me - pure class. Scored 7 goals against Poland in his career but I don't bear a grudge. ;)

The last alcoholic drink you had

Chopin vodka - cold, straight. Best there is--distilled four times, made from special kind of organic potatoes. In the USA about 1 million bottles per year are sold. Chopin Rye is OK too, but the potatoe one is the best vodka in the world.

Leicester's away record isn't exactly impressive (they lost two of their three recent away games, and managed only 3 wins in 12 games), and we now have Theo and the Turkish Magician. Realistically, can't see any other result than our comfortable 3-0 win. Can't wait until Wednesday to watch...

    The GOT Book Club

I'm currently reading The Inklings - a very interesting collective biography of a group of literary giants (Lewis, Tolkien, Barfield, Williams and others)... ... I used to devour everything by Tolkien and Lewis, so it was with keen expectations that I reached for this book, and it was...
