Pickford great. Not bad for an away game. Let's keep the manager since having a new one every year for a decade has not worked for us so let's try something different and keep a manager and his team in place (seems obvious but apparently Everton now needs one manager per year or something)

His subs are generally poor, but as everton , we surely must have learnt that getting a new manager basically every year for the last decade is probably why we are so bad.

Saudis own or part own a huge range of businesses in UK-- The Independent newspaper, Heathrow Airport, bunch of apps twitter, Snapchat, uber, your local BP garages etc etc are you boycotting all these also, or would it just be Everton if Saudi deal goes ahead?....

Some realities that some are in denial about. 1) If we don't accept these buyers there is a chance no one else steps forward (we are not that an attractive proposition right now) and we go down/disappear. 2) No investor is going to buy a Premier league club right now and blatently asset strip...

Its like this whole thread is full of brand new Everton fans who havent yet realised that the club hiring a new manager every year has failed every year for the last decade or so.

One of the reasons the club is failing so badly right now is because a portion of the fan base have insisted on bringing in a new manager every year and all the disruption that brings. Crazy.

Its going to be big Sam, you heard it here first. He got us up to 8th last time and just saw him on TV making realistic but not unkind comments about Everton. Id be ok with him at this point.

Lets be honest with ourselves- within 12 months who ever we appont will be forced out because a significant part of our fanbase are crazily impatient and will begin slagging off manager, players and club staff within a few months- this will make the manager and players perform even more poorly...

Let's all be honest. If we got a new manager tomorrow within a year a huge segment of the fanbase would be demanding their resignation (1 per year is our average in recent years) . We are a toxically impatient fanbase that routinely turns on managers and players - which then makes them perform...

It's bizzarre that even after we have basically changed managers once a year for the last decade people in this forum still think the solution is to get a new manager. Some people never learn.

IMO I think he has great potential and in 2-3 years time he will really strengthen the team but not really a game changer for us for now.

My first thought was 'OK he is being signed for our U21 team', but apparently not....?

I would add to that list- impatience amoung us, the fans- so that we demanded changes in managers after a few losses - almost 1 a year over the last 8 years on average- thats massively disruptive for a club.
