To add to this, I'd suggest he hasn't been creative for a long time. He has a grand total of 4 goals and 2 assists over the last two full seasons... and that in a team that scores loads of goals and creates loads of chances.

As good as he is, this lad isn't getting in any of the top 4 starting teams. City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, (even Newcastle and Villa) have better first choice wingers than him. If he wants a champions league games then the best he will get is a good view from the bench.

Cant help feel that this lad (or his agent at least) are doing a Tete (formally known as a Danjuma). If he actually wanted to come to Everton, he'd be here by now wouldn't he?

A squad that was already one of the thinnest in the league last season. Since then we've lost 9 players and added 2. Cant say its not worrying, the sheer lack of numbers. I'd have certainly expected more in through the door by now. I'm sure they will add more, but its hard not to be concerned...

I cant see many clubs that would be willing to spend money like that on a player who's hardly played for City and is off contract next summer (maybe Chelsea). Great prospect no doubt, but that's double what we'd be willing to spend on the lad.

Its the Everton way! Unfortunately, we are still searching bargain basement, so most incomings might be late in the window. Would have been nice to have a few more in for the USA tour, but its not looking like that will happen.

At least the club will be saving money on flight costs and hotel bills when going on the USA tour with half a squad 😆

If we were doing it right, we'd have most of the squad re-build done before the USA trip. Unfortunately we're going to have to penny pinch as usual, which means probably doing most of that re-build later in the window. The last week should be interesting, but as you say, it would have been nice...

No, but we travel to the USA pre-season tournament in 10 days. How many will we have added to the squad by then? Any at all?

Are we really going to wait till the end of August before we start signing some more players? Surely we get them in now and give them a pre-season with the team ffs
