If I were Emery I'd be looking for an upgrade from McGinn, so this probably has legs despite the talk about Emery wanting him to stay. That's just talking up the price they can squeeze out of Everton.

He's picking up thigh injuries too. Older player who's style relies on a lot of mobility - up and down the pitch and laterally. Not a good risk IMO.
