I'm ashamed to say I once drove from Rainford to Goodison on a Wednesday night to watch us play Villa.I was driving a mark two Cortina that had cross ply and radial mixed tyres on both axles and one of the cross ply had an egg in it.

I had a Ford Orion with that tyre set up, unbeknownst to 19-year-old me at the time. Drove to Scotland, got a puncture, and also the most pleasant down-the-banks from the Jock tyre fitter.
