Should be him out on loan, not Armstrong. Positionally he's all over the place and gets walked past in midfield. There are things to like, he covers a lot of ground and always wants the ball, but he's seldom not looked out of his depth whenever he plays. Will only ever be a squad player.

Any club that hires a manager who stands on the touchline drinking Huel and listening to Diaries of a CEO podcast deserves everything that comes their way.

    2025/26 Beto

Niasse 2.0. A comically bad footballer but over the course a season he'll probably end up with a handful of goals to his name. He's what we've got for now but team serious about pushing up the table should have him as first choice. Barry has youth on his side, give him an extended run and...

He definitely isn't a DM, he doesn't look after the ball enough or have the positional sense. When he came on for Gueye our shape absolutely went to pot. Needs a loan.

    Transfer Rumour Tomas Soucek

He's very a Fellaini-like player, except without the occasional mad streak. I have always really liked him personally, but he's not the kind of signing we need at this point. Our midfield needs a sitter, someone who can take Gueye's place and will win the ball back many times in a game...

SPL is a definite no, especially to a team managed by Russell Martin. That fellas robbing a living in management.

Can see he's raw. Doesn't mean he's rubbish, just that certain games are going to suit him better than others. He's a runner who looks for space, was never going to get much joy against a team so rigidly in a low-block. Beto would have been better to start as he moves less and so always occupies...

    Manchester United

A Wolves-level manager who is somehow managing Manchester United. Long may it continue. Sat on the bench cowering like he's in a WWI trench instead of watching the pens. What a great image of leadership.

Russell Martin might actually be the first manager who listens to Diaries of a CEO during a match. Stands on there on the sidelines wearing his hoody and drinking his Huel. Robbing a living.

Martin up at Rangers. I know it's a terrible league but they're still a bit of name in world football. They'll have had plenty of applicants in the summer, and chances are at least one of those was half-decent. How anyone employs him after watching Saints last season is beyond me.

    2025/26 Adam Aznou

He spent a decade-plus working under the biggest blagger in football, dear old Billy Liar, and still says he was the best chairman he ever worked with. Defends him to the hilt. Moyes cares about what's best for Moyes and always has, hence why his arsey attitude isnt to be applauded.

Which is exactly why Moyes has a cheek to moaning about lack of signings. He said absolutely nothing when Kenwright was selling off our best players year-on-year to pay off the banks and Philip Green. Because he knew his position was infallible whilst Billy Liar was owner. Now that there's a...

    2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes has no right to complain. None. For years and years he happily shielded Kenwright from any scrutiny when that fella was regulary selling off our best assets and causing us to lose out on players by trying to do deals where we'd pay a fiver a week. Suddenly Davie has found his voice to...

    The leaker/insider

I'm very pleased that Moyes has spoken up about this. Even if it isn't possible to totally shut down the leaks, by publicly calling out the person/persons behind it he is making clear that club are much opposed to it. All they're doing by spreading sensitive info about injuries and ongoing deals...

Yes it's a results business, but if we didn't plan on using the kid at all then why did we bother? Players can't force their way in if they don't get any real chances (in their correct position), which he hasn't. The U23s don't develop anyone, no player over 18 should still be playing at that...
