Hi, i would recommend the Ship and Mitre on Dale Street in the city centre for pre-match drinks or post-match drinks, it's always packed with Evertonians on matchdays,
and has a great atmosphere.
Anyone planning on going to Villa by train, be aware that there are massive disruptions due to engineering work that weekend between Crewe and Wolverhampton, with train companies offering a bus service between Crewe and Wolverhampton, then on to B'ham by train.
There are alternative routes...
When i went to Wolfsburg in november, we stayed in Hanover for 2 nights and vowed to sample the old traditional German pubs, but ended up in a boss Irish pub (The Dublin) which was chocker full of blues singing all night long, got thrown out at 4.30am . . . What a night
stoke away tickets have been on general sale for over a week, and still not sold out !
Is this indicative of our current form, or is the latest glut of away games just too taxing on the pocket ? ( Bern, Chelsea, Arsenal )
Think we have it rough . . . Spare a thought for 1860 Munich !http://www.themunicheye.com/news-services/display_article.php?news_title=Not-all-of-Munich-behind-FC-Bayern&article_id=1368
It's better to get the direct train from Watford to Selhurst.
Dep Watford 11:52
Arr Selhurst 12:52
Dep Selhurst 17:15
Arr Watford 18:19
It saves all the hassle with Euston/tubes/buses etc
Selhurst station very close to the ground !
