We've been in financial bother and fighting relegation off over the last 5 years. Yes, we will be chasing shadows against the elite teams in this league. We aren't going to bridge that gap in one transfer window.

He was awful for parts of last season, but if we sign other players with the idea of getting them in the first team, and keep Young around to fill out the squad a bit, then I don't mind it.

Godfrey isn't very good at all, it wouldn't be difficult to replace him. Ashley Young is still a better player than him, for example.

There's only about 5 clubs in England who win things and they don't want him. I can't for one second see him going abroad and playing for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter, Juve et al.
