David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

Balbuena has already announced he’s leaving. Yarmolenko can’t get a game and will be off. Fabianski is a keeper. The others are still in their prime and playing the best football of their career. Rice 22 Soucek 26 Benrahma 25 Fornals 25 Bowen 24 Diop 24 Coufal 28 Lingard 28 Lanzini 28 Johnson...

Bar Fabianski, those lads are in their prime and playing the best football of their career. The likes of Rice, Soucek, Fornals, Bowen, Benrahma, Coufal all got years and years left. Lingard will most likely be signing permanently.

I think it will be a little less and would imagine we will bring in Lingard plus 3 others. A result of both GSB being tight and Moyes not wanting too many new lads either.

Absolutely! That’s better than we usually manage. It’s been a while since we’ve had a group of players who play with pride in the shirt, baby steps for us. One thing that is important to us is having a go in the FA Cup. Probably one of few fanbases who would rather win that than the league. We...

It’s not just the pace it’s the willingness to constantly make runs in the channels. It’s the barging his way through defences and making chances out of nothing (even if he does balloon it wide a fair bit!). I think it’s a different game if Antonio starts but then again if my auntie had bowlocks...

I think he’s an underrated player and he’s more than good enough for us. Was really impressed with his debut. A decent signing for where we are as a club. To be fair though, he wouldn’t get in your team would he!

A lot of the bigger signings werent picked by the managers though. They were down to Sullivan and his agent pals playing real life Football Manager (Will Salthouse etc). Cutting wages is one thing but Sullivan has asset stripped the squad now. We have one senior striker on our books who...

Lanzini and Benrahma (like Yarmolenko) aren’t strikers and I think it’s fair to say they are built very differently to Antonio!
