The working theory that other pilots have is that the co-pilot accidentally put the flaps up instead of the landing gear. That lost the extra lift required at full weight and slow speed and plus you had the gear acting as a big air brake.
That sort of behaviour's best left to Johnny Foreigner old boy...as long as their second language is English and we don't have to listen to their native jibber jabber.
