If you're serious, because it's not cheap getting a HGV license these days, go for a Class 1 and if offered the pet-reg test, go for that as well. You might also be offered the chance to get a PSV license to drive coaches - that too is worth...

One of my best mates does it (drives hgvs, not the murdering prostitutes). He claims to love the job, but hates the hours. I’m sure a firm paid for, or towards him getting his license initially, so that could be something to look into.
