Sorry about that. Our beautiful bodies that demand to be touched by all the women, even the lesbos, does that to us. Did I mention we surf?

Staying in Peniche on the west coast of Portugal. Not as popular as the algarve due to the wilder seas and is cooler. Very interesting geography but lots of surfers here who are the absolute scum of the earth.

After just over two months away working I travel home tomorrow, can't wait. I'll also get the first two PL home games in, that was a blessing.

I'd love to do another interrrail trip, I've not done so since I had just finished uni, but this time with a first class ticket lol but I'd probably need at least 3 weeks off work to make it count.

Very true. Its a difficult one, I love travelling and the other half's family are right over the other side of the continent. But increasingly I'm considering longer vacations and travelling by train or driving.

Here, I'm tempted to say that it shouldn't be cheaper for someone living in the Midlands to go and enjoy a weekend in Budapest than a weekend in London.

Within Europe this should be changing if proposed EU rulings comeinto effect. No doubt the airlines will find a new wheeze to exploit gaps in the rules to gouge consumers. Its environmentally ruinous and mass tourism is a double edged sword, now...

Skyscanner is annoying in that it'll find the cheapest flight tickets but not the cheapest package. As you mention, it doesn't show what I'd consider to be the real cost of the flight. Even on long-haul, I flew from LHR to Singapore with...

My guess is Spanish buildings historically were equipped with thick walls and the kept the blinds closed/windows closed to keep the heat out.

Took my cycle in for repairs/service earlier. Walked back. Silly silly silly. Give me 18-22c all day long. You can still do things.

Me too, it reaches a point where it becomes stupid and dangerous. I did a 10k yesterday and drank a full litre of water on the way round, with a lot of walking up the hilly bits.

There`s nothing you can do to train for this heat in this country, which is the problem. You can run/walk/cycle as far as you want, but when you throw heat like this into the mix, it`s a killer. I did a long distance race in Cumbria, in similar...

Yeh it’s a beautiful day for a beer up here but not so much for exercise. I tried a 5k earlier but had to give up with the heat 😂 my mates are starting coast-to-coast (Hadrian’s Wall one) this morning and they’re dying already.

Biggest problem here in Spain this year is the high sea temperature. Even mid August there is normally a cooling breeze from the sea late evening. This year nothing, it's relentless.🥵
